The Drama of the Gifted Child: The Search for the True Self by Alice Miller. Originally titled Prisoners of Childhood, this classic book is a must read for people who had narcissistic parents and felt that they did not have unconditional love during childhood. The book examines the deep wounds of the child who experienced only transactional and conditional love from their parents. It is the best book I know of to help heal the traumas of childhood.
